Based on ancient anthropomorphic pottery, lizards and birds are depicted on faces as protective spirits, offering guidance and safeguarding. The two faces are expressing the duality and complementary nature of opposites, striving to create balance and harmony between the different forces such as day and night, male and female, newborn and ancestor.
