Traditional Mali Pillow Cover

Women's cooperative Sinignesigul, in the south-central Mali city of Segou, uses traditional techniques to create these earthy pillow cases. Starting from scratch, the women weave natural cotton that is then naturally dyed using N'galama leaves. Traditional patterns are hand painted onto the rustic fabric and then cut into pillow cases.
